White Student Union
I have wondered this since I was in high school and as I grow older I see it more and more. Why is there at every HS a black student union, an Asian student union, MECHA and so on and so forth, but no white student union? Some kid at my school tried to start one but they wouldn't let him, they said it would be racist. What? Why? How is it any different?Now as I get older I see the United Negro College Fund, the NAACP, the Hispanic Scholarship fund, affirmative action and many many more. If I started a scholarship only for white kids, I would be branded a racist and compared to Hitler. If I started a group called the National Association for the Advancement of White People, again, racist. Even if I gave out a scholarship to white kids whose parents were dead, junkies, broke, homeless or anything else, I would be a racist because I was giving it to white kids.
And affirmative action. If I was black or hispanic I would be insulted that people think the only way I can get a job or get into college is by the government forcing people to let me in because I am a certain color.
I just don't get it. The same person that tells you that we should not be judged by the color of our skin will turn around and give a free college education to a black kid because he is black. But if God forbid, anybody did anything to help poor white kids, they would be a racist.
If blacks can set up scholarships and programs for black kids, hispanics can do it for hispanic kids, asians can do it for asian kids, why are whites called racists when they do it for white kids?

A) You're an idiot.
See how simple I made that? I didn't need 50 points to reason why you're stupid, I could just do it as easily as that.
Minorities use the excuse of racism to get away with shit that would never be accepted if it was done by a white person. Check the news every now and then-I speak the truth. And by the way, white people ARE the minorities in many American cities (mine included, I had to bust my ass to get a job AND get into college). As for the people I knew in high school, those that were a 'minority' (a term that really is BS, since like I said, white people are becoming more of a minority) got into college easily, and they didn't have good grades or extracurriculars. My 'white' friends, who did get good grades and did participate in extracurriculars (me included), had a hell of a time getting into college. Where's the fairness in that?
So, in the past, minorities were mistreated. And to make up for that period of time that I wasn't alive, and most likely, neither were you, I have to suffer or work harder? How in the hell does that make sense? I didn't do anything wrong, I don't judge people based on their skin, why should I have to pay the price for those that do? How does it make sense to even say that people can't get health care or housing because of their skin color? There are laws galore that prevent this from happening. And, like I've said before, there are ignorant people out there, who hate others based on their skin color, but there are those that hate white people because they're white. We all have to be so careful about race issues, because lord knows, we don't want to offend anyone, but if you insult white people, hey, it's all good!
Sooo, basically, get over yourself, get your head out of your ass, and welcome to the real world.

..i really feel sorry for the whites that r held accountable for the systen that other whites devised to make themselfs rich and powerful..while your heads were turned they made a system that bittin err body in the ass...and got yall on the internet makin dumbass remarks like why why cant we have a union..the whole damn system is ur union but ur own people left u out...the upper crust is happy were all on the bottom fighting and being preoccupied bit it will all change when the aliens(space)(grin)..come and scare the shit outta all us...every will be huggin then..

I think it's safe to say that the system is equally uncaring if you can't make it on your own. If you have the skills and/or connections, you'll make it eventually. If you don't have the skills and/or connections, there is a ghetto or gutter with your name on it.

call it reverse racism or what ever you will it sucks. As far as your group call it the euro club or the euro scholarship and it should be fine. just like white south african can apply for African American scholarships.

I wonder, can a South African caucasian man apply for college scholarship and admission consideration as an African American? What about a white person born in Japan, who was nationalized and educated as a Japanese person? What about Russians? Are they Asian? And how about Afghans? Not really middle-eastern, but not really Asian? Soon, at this rate, sexual orientation and intellect will be qualities that are used as a basis for affirmative action. You must hire x number of gay people, x number of geniuses, and x number of morons.

I tried the same thing at my high school. We needed a teacher or faculty member to support us for the club to be official, but all were too nervous of being seen as a racist. So, we asked if we could join the “Black Student Union” and technically we were allowed but every current BSU member had a negative attitude and preferred it if we left.
Why talk about equality if all we are going to do is separate ourselves?

I'm a minority and I agree with the gist of what entry #15 stated. I too find an issue with people that use the race card for their own benefit, but it's not alright for other people. There is a long standing history in the U.S. as it pertains to racism and it wasn't too long ago (i.e. 30-40 years) that blacks were being hung from trees. Therefore, racism will continue to be an issue until the races are all mixed up and nobody can accuse anyone of being racist against one group or another. As a minority who did not get free college money or a job in order to fill a quota, I'm embarrassed when other minorities play the race card.

Entry #20, I truly feel sorry for you. Two wrongs don't make a right!! It would be stupid of me to hold whites alive today for the transgressions of their forefathers. That would be like me holding a child accountable for the way they were raised. It's not their fault and together we have to try and get through this historic BULLSHIT!! If you travel to other countries, in particular carribean ones, you will never see racism like we do in the U.S.

At my high school (I graduated a couple years ago, and apparently this happened about 2 years before I even enrolled), a group of white kids got together and started a club called P. O. W. K., Plain Old White Kids. They stopped meeting because there was nothing to do. Just thought I'd share.
Very nicely written, though. I'm multiracial (black, white, Native American), and although I don't identity with my white side culturally, I wonder why these types of white organizations are so offensive. Personally, I know I'd find it offensive, but it's just the same as the black power movement. I dunno. I guess I'm echoing your rant. It was a good rant.

First if you know the history of this country you know that minorities weren't treated fairly they started many of those scholarships lyk the NAACP back during the civil rights movement wen blacks and other minorities had little to no priveleges these scholarships and groups helped them make something out of their self and help let them know that they can be anything they want to be even if everything is workin against them so why should they stop the NAACP .. I feel lyk its only a problem becuz its a BLACK STUDENT UNION JUst lyk they've mentioned ooh what if it was a naawp or if their was a united caucasian college fund me being white and growing
