Fuck You Windows Vista

FUCK WINDOWS VISTA!

I hope your programmers die in a CAR FIRE!

DIE, DIE, DIE!

Connection? Oh, what's that? Like I used to be able to talk to my fucking router? Now that I have you.....NAH!

I've never heard the term "unidentified network" before you; WHAT THE FUCK does that mean?

My router/firewall wants to bitch-slap you even worse than I do, and that Cisco is a mean fucker, so be warned!

And how about that DNS that you can't resolve? I've only had the same provider quite happily for 6 fucking years!

Oh, and me not being able to turn off file-sharing, UNLESS I'm using Windows Firewall (TM)? Explain this reasoning, please! Give me a chance to "take care of myself" and I'll show you a smooth, safe, and secure operating system if you'd let me have that capability.

Wanna go on?

Why won't Firefox start up?

Oh, Okay, It's running in the background because I clicked it too fast.............

That's fine, I'll just stop the service.....What? YOU WON'T LET ME stop it? and I need to REBOOT AGAIN? JUST TO START MOZILLA!

Let's not stop at the fact that your OS takes 10% of my system memory regardless of any other background programs!

Fuck you Vista,

Your Grandmother's a cunt.

(And by that I mean Miss Bill Gates)

Vista works great for me. I have it on 3 machines now. It was a little different at first (why did they move or rename applications that have been standard for years?), but I got used to it after about a week of working with it. I'm a software contractor, and I use Vista as my primary development platform without any problems. High requirements? I don't think so... not for what's involved. Mac OS X has high requirements too - why do you think Macs cost more than the typical PC? They have to beef those things up. If you want to run Vista without having to beef up your machine, then turn off Aero completely. As for OS design, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want a small OS, then you have to give up a lot of features of Modern OSs. Run Linux in terminal mode if you want an efficient OS, but even Linux will start "bloating" if you make it feature comparable to Vista or MacOS. Oh... by the way, the lack of driver support is the hardware vendor's issue, not a problem with Vista. Vista is a totally different OS than anything MS has put out before - from the ground up. A lot of vendors supply drivers that run in a 'legacy' or emulated mode, rather than develop new drivers specifically for Vista. MS put the spec out quite a while ago. They also provided best practice documentation. Vendors dragged their feet. The OP's comments boggle my mind... none of my Vista machines have had any trouble talking to my network. I also have no issues running Firefox or Opera (or anything else) on the system. Maybe it's you?

And for the guy saying Vista is great when using on decent hardware, I'm on a 2.2dual, 3gb of ram and my second computer with a 2.1 (not dual) and 1gb of ram is still 10 times faster, less bugs, less crap. Fuck you Vista.

    Rofl this is funny

I've got vista and it runs reasonably well. All the people complaining about it should try turning off aero, UAC and other pointless services. Regular defrags and maintenance will make it bearable.

Vista isn't the problem, XP ran incredibly slow when it first came out too, because MS has a habit of releasing OSes before the technology to support it's bloat is available.

Just you wait, windows 7 will come out and the same scenario will happen, but vista will be the loved one.

I LOVE Windoze Vista! You see, I have no social life, so it's just GREAT being able to spend 5 hours trying to install and get running a program that installed and ran properly on XP in a few minutes. XP was a spoilsport as its Search option found all files immediately - with Vista you'll never find it for ages as it has this indexing thing which means that finding a system file is like seeking the Scarlet Pimpernel.

Also I can go out shopping as I need to buy all sorts of new hardware and software as stuff that worked fine with previous versions of Windoze doesn't work at all with Vista. I don't get time to sit here and feel lonely as I can copy a 1 GB folder and sit there watching the copying process all say, whereas XP did it far too quickly. There's also the added excitement that the OS might freeze and the only means of getting out of it is to pull the plug, and that adds the fun of waiting for another 30 minutes while Vista recovers. Boring old XP hardly ever froze and if on the rare occasions it did, you could pull the plug and it would get right back to business.

Oh and did I say that as I had domineering parents it's a refreshing blast from the past to be asked at every stage whether I really want to do this or that. And now, nice pretty Vista has gone and got stuck when I was copying a DVD and it wouldn't let mehave Task Manager or restart so once again on went the off button (or is that the other way round?). And not Vista's made my life really interesting as it's corrupted my hard drive and won't start at all!!

OK, seriously. I hate Vista more than I have ever hated anyone or anything ever before. It turns me into Basil Fawlty with Tourette's. Have MS given us this crap just to make us realise just how good XP was? I hope Vista gets cancer or AIDS and dies slowly and painfully.
