My school's zero tolerance drug policy
Isn't is great how bureaucratic the school system is to have a ZERO tolerance drug policy? I have a 4.0 and am taking 3 AP classes. I get suspended for having a picture that had birth control glued to it. How amazing is that? 10 days suspension at a drug class.Rating:1.00

I admit that it's kiiiind of stupid to get in trouble for that, especially if it were an accident (was it?) but I don't think your GPA or AP classes or whatever should give you a right to avoid punishment than any student with any GPA would receive.

Geez, I've brought prescription medication frequently to high school because I didn't have time to take it before I left. I honestly would have never thought bringing birth control pills to school would be equated to bringing marjuana or some other illegal drug. I was ready for this to be some pathetic post about how the poster brought pot to school and was frustrated by "the man" for suspending them. This is just insane though. Not on the poster's part but the school administration's.

Banning legally prescribed drugs defeats the purpose of having them in the first place!
What about the diabetics who need insulin? Birth control is a legitimate legal drug, and can be used to assist with other problems in addition to being a contraceptive (ie: bad skin, bad menstrual pain).
It is not for the school to decide if it is correct, it is the physician that prescribed it.
