As a college student, I agree and disagree with the OP. I have people in my classes I would just like to stab with my pencil because they wont shut the hell up trying to give off the impression that they are so smart and know all. But at the same time, we go to college to gain knowledge and to get something out of our educations. Is there something wrong with wanting to show and tell others what you've learned? Not necessarily. As long as you have the knowledge base to back up what you're saying and can have an intelligent conversation, then I say go for it. Be proud of what you know. We go to college to better our selves and believe it or not, it is possible to be in college and not come off as some arrogant, self-righteous, super intellect.
