Ventibate sucks
Ventibate used to be cool, but not anymore. Im not sure if it was just over run by high schoolers, or what, but the intelligent people have all left. I have been comming around a lot less lately, but now I think I will stop. There is nothing fun about nigger this and nigger that three times a week. There are almost no intelligent rants posted anymore. It is all this nigger that nigger and my high school boyfriend doesnt like new kids on the block like I do. Fucking pointless. Well, he's got a point. I started coming here about a week ago and added the 'When did personality become a disease' rant, because I liked the idea of the site. The longer I stay here, though, the less appealing it becomes. There's just no good content. It's all shit.
The whole 'completely anonymous' thing is going a bit overboard, too. I mean, shit, you're already on the internet. How much more anonymous do you want to be? Making an account isn't that hard, and then you could post rants under that name and people who like them could follow them. Makes for less garbage posts by 12-year-olds, and a better community.
Plus, the one-sentence bullshit that ends up on the homepage is just retarded.

Some people like it some people don't. If you want a serious place to vent and you want people to know who you are, start a blog or use Facebook, Twitter, Jaiku or any of the other "polished" sites that require full registration and don't allow the free speech some of you apparently don't like.
We can't please everyone and we're not going to try. You should be able to tell by the title and the first couple of lines what a post is about and should simply avoid clicking on the ones you know will offend you.

Ventibate rocks. You can write a perfect gramatically correct essay or halfass a short paragraph that gets your point across. It doesn't matter, whatever you want to do.
And like was mentioned in 5 you can say almost whatever you want. The administrators finally drew the line with extreme hate speech but otherwise you can bitch about whatever you feel like. Read the rules page, there are only like 10 things you can't do. You aren't going to get that anywhere else.

I've been coming here for quite a while and I don't see any evidence that there are fewer intelligent people here now than there was before. Of course if you count yourself among the intelligent people, one would think you'd be smart enough to ascertain from the title and first sentence whether or not a vent was worth clicking for further reading.

Thank you 11. However the sheer amount of "My mom, my boyfriend, my balls" vents have gotten somewhat out of hand. They should have a venting site with an IQ screener.

Everyone has as much right as anyone else to vent on Ventibate as long as their posts don't break the rules.
If a teenager wants to vent about her boyfriend or a bigot wants to vent about his coworker and use politically incorrect words to describe him or if a pseudo scientist wants to vent about the effect that cow farts have on global warming, they all have as much right to vent as anyone else does.
One of the downsides of free speech is that we don't always want to hear or read what someone else has to say but they have a right to say it.
